Khetag Gozyumov was born in Alagir, Norh Ossetia (Russia)
He graduated from Gorsky Agrarian University, specializing in mechanical engineering.
Goziumov is one of the most prominent free style wrestlers in 96 kg weight category. He proved it at the World Cup and Gran Pri tournaments, as well as at the last (2008) Olympics. In Beijing on his way to the bronze medal Khetag Goziumov defeated Mateusz Gucman (POL), Vincent Aka Akesse (FRA), Kurban Kurbanov (UZB), Gergi Tibilov (UKR).
Starting 2007 Khetag represents Azerbaijan at all international tournaments.
