Dzambolat Tserekov 

Holder of all four degrees of St.George’s Cross 

He was born in Kurtatinsky Gorge of North Ossetia. Dzambolat hold his military service within Tersko-Gorsky Irregular Regiment. Though there is no too much information about the combats he participated in, it is undoubtedly that he was remarkable with his outstanding courage and heroism. He was honored with all four degrees of the highest Russian military honor – St.George’s Cross. Another Cross of Combat Glory was attached to the haft of his sable.  

One of Dzambolat’s sons, a Rusian-Japanese war hero, also was honored with two degrees of St.George’s Cross.
