A former North Ossetian Internal Minister  

G.Kantemirov was born in Iran, North Ossetia. 

He completed a full course at Ordzhonilidzevskoe Higher Military School. After that went up through the all levels of service within the military forces of the USSR Internal Ministry, starting with a rank of lieutenant and ending up as major-general.  

In 1990 he took over the Internal Ministry of North Ossetia and for the short time achieved significant results. In 1992 during the Ingush invasion into Prigordny district of North Ossetia, as one of the key figures, general Kantemirov contributed a lot to protect the people and territory of North Ossetia.
