I first heard of Scythia in reading the Conan the barbarian series of fiction by Robert Howard. To find out later that Scythia were real people, important people. This is very good reading. Sadly, between England doing a very poor job of "mismanaging the end of the Ottoman Empire and Russia going through its "growing up" phase all of the Middle East was harmed. the real story of Kurdistan of Armenia, of Eden and Noah. Even Abraham walked out of this region not "the other Ur". One day soon all of these stories will come to light and the freedom and growth that these pioneers of the world should enjoy will be shared.
